What will I do?
Before setting off…
Completing our 120 hour TEFL course, you’ll be equipped with the knowledge and skills required to teach in Japan. You will also receive a 40-hour online orientation to learn about the history, culture and even the Japanese language! On top of this, our in-country team helps you arrange your documentation while you pack your bags.
You’ve landed!
Once you’ve landed, someone from the school will come find you or you’ll be given guidance to find the orientation accommodation.
Get teaching!
Equipped with the TEFL training, cultural information, and the orientation advice, it is time to start teaching!
This 12-month program grants you a gratifying, practical experience as you forget academic relationship with your students. The ‘sensei’ is treated with great respect in Japan; the rapport built between student and teacher in Japan is something to behold.
The internship spans Japan, from urban to suburban area, in both public and private language schools. The normal working week is 20-30 hours, with 2 days off. The pay is very generous, allowing you to experience Japan with money to spend in your free time!
Japan is the magical marriage of both old and new. Be it visiting Shinto temples and practicing origami in the idyllic countryside or traversing the skyscraper metropolises in a bullet train, Japan has it all!
